Gaming Anniversaries January 25- Dragonball Z: Super Saiya Densetsu
Released January 25, 1992- Dragonball Z: Super Saiya Densetsu
Dragonball Z: Super Saiya Densetsu blasted into the Japanese market on this day for the Super Famicom!
The game stars Goku and Piccolo along with the rest of the Dragonball Z cast as they beat the Saiyans starting with Raditz and ultimately ending in Namek with the battle against Frieza.
The game has a unique battle style. Just like in other Dragonball Z related games, this one uses cards to determine the outcome of attacks or blocks in battle. Each character has a favorite card which allows them to do more damage or attack all enemies at once. This is the key to winning in battle. Additionally, there are random battles against Saibamen that will slow you down.
Furthermore, secret locations exist that can sometimes give players new items or skills to use, making the game a little easier when you know where to look.
There is so much gameplay in this fantastic RPG, and unfortunately, it wasn’t released in English. However, a reimagined version was released for the Nintendo DS, and fan translations are available if you know where to look.
Super Saiya Densetsu is one of my favorite Dragonball Z related games. Have you tried it? Let us know in the comments down below!
