Gaming Anniversaries May 31- Banjo Kazooie
Released on May 31, 1998- Banjo Kazooie
Banjo Kazooie was released on the Nintendo 64 for the North American market on May 31, 1998.
The game uses some features from the game Super Mario 64, in so far as that it uses an over world type level to allow access to other areas in the game. Additionally, players have to find the musical notes and pieces to unlock more of the levels. After finding most of the musical notes and pieces, players will face Gruntilda and save Tooty. Also like in Super Mario 64 however, this is not the end. They will have to again face Gruntilda to finally finish the game.
Banjo Kazooie was very well received. Selling almost 2 two million copies in North America. This lead to more entries in the beloved series and the game is still being produced in some capacity today.
