Gaming Anniversaries July 25- Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom
Released July 25, 1988- Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom
Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom graced the Japanese market on this day in 88′. For the Nintendo Famicom.
It’s up to Sir Cucumber and his trusty sidekick Percy the Persimmon to find her. To that end, they must complete simple quests and talk to other members of the Salad Kingdom, completing simple quests such as talking to others and giving items. Giving the game a text based adventure feel with some nice fun graphics and interesting story.
The game ultimately did fairly well and continues to enjoy a loyal following to this day. However, it isn’t one of the greats on the Famicom or the NES. It’s definitely not for everyone.
