Gaming Anniversaries October 21- Mega Man: The Wily Wars

Mega Man: The Wily Wars

Released October 21, 1994- Mega Man: The Wily Wars

Mega Man: The Wily Wars blasted into the Japanese market on this day in 1994. For the Sega Mega Drive!

Mega Man: The Wily WarsWhile not strictly it’s own game, Mega Man: The Wily Wars still deserves a nod today.

The game included the first three games in the Mega Man franchise. Each of them being a remake that included updated graphics and easier controls. Plus, being for the Mega Drive we really can’t complain.

Mega Man 1, 2 and 3 are included, as stated before. plus this new version of these includes an all-new mode known as Wily Tower. Which is a remix of boss levels found in all three games.

Mega Man is a highly beloved game series. With games spanning generations. However, Capcom just doesn’t seem to understand that gamers want a brand new one. We recently got some collections such as Mega Man Legacy Collection, but we just want something new to play.

The closest we’ve gotten to an all-new MegaMan game is in Keiji Inafune’s “Mighty #9” which just didn’t cut it for most players.  That doesn’t mean we won’t see something new from CapCom someday soon. But for now, we have to make due with our collections and classic games.

Mega Man: The Wily Wars isn’t exactly a rare game. However, it has become slightly harder to find. This is reflected in the most recent eBay offerings at about $28 US.
