The Guardian Legend arrived in the Japanese market on this day in 1988. For the Nintendo Famicom!
Along the way, you’ll fight your way through deadly monsters, vicious traps, and terrible enemies. All in order to reach the stations self-destructor. Luckily, there are upgrades to your power suit scattered around. They will increase your health, extra lives, and firepower. These will be critical to your mission as enemies you face will get stronger and stronger. Additionally, there is also some sections of the game requiring you to fly through them in jet form while mowing down wave after wave of enemy forces.
The Guardian Legend also contains a hidden mode. In this mode, the game will auto-scroll in an arcade fashion, enabling only flying missions and removing the on-foot parts. Furthermore, your score is the only thing that dictates your upgrades. So make it a good one!
