Gaming Anniversaries April 14: Pokemon Pinball
Released April 14 1999 (Japan)
First released in Japan on April 14 of 1999
Pokemon Pinball was the next entry in the Pokemon franchise. Although not a mainline game of course, the game satiated players appetities for a new Pokemon game in between the release of Pokemon Snap for the N64 and Pokemon Gold and Silver for the GameBoy.
The game featured a neat rumble feature powered by a single AAA battery. Something that was never done before on the GameBoy.
Pokemon Pinball is still a standard pinball type game. Just with the cute characters fans love. Plus, the balls are Pokeballs! How fun!
