Formation Z launched into the Japanese market on this day in 1985. For the Nintendo Famicom!

Formation Z is a side-scrolling shoot-em-up first released in Arcades in 1984. Fortunately, it made several releases over the years, including this one for the Nintendo Famicom!

The year is 2071, players control a robot fighter with the power to transform into a ship capable of moving at super fast speeds. While as a robot, players can jump, shoot and move up and down. As a ship, players can hold the fire button down to gain a huge burst of speed, as well as destroy enemies. Moreover, players have to keep[ an eye on their fuel, as its limited and running out, will be devastating, to say the least.

Players will need skills to beat this game, as transforming to defeat enemies on screen is a must, as well as avoiding obstacles which stand in your way.

Formation Z made its way onto the PlayStation in the 90’s, proving its popularity in the market.
