Dear AtGames, If at first, you don’t succeed

I know, I know. I’m a little late to the party on this, but I just decided it was interesting. The terrible AtGames Sega Genesis clone console is getting another reboot this year. This one might actually be worth your while.

The NES Classic is done with, it’s over. No hope left unless you turn to eBay or something. The SNES Classic will likely suffer the same fate if it’s real. We’ll see at E3 this year I guess. AtGames may have a fun solution for you though. They’re re-releasing the Sega Genesis clone console. This one is to be nothing like its brothers in the same namesake and is actually modeled after the Sega Genesis 1 system.

The Games

It’s said to feature as many as 85 games, with 44 of them being real Genesis games as well as a slew of the normal homebrew featured on so many of AtGames’ consoles before. Here’s the full breakdown of the decent games on the system.

That’s right, you get the Mortal Kombat games and all of the Phantasy Star games on this one. That almost makes the MSRP of $85 worth it. The system will also allow the use of real Genesis carts if there are a few games on the system you just have to play that were sadly omitted.

Additionally, they included a pair of 2.4GHz wireless controllers in this one. But you can just throw those out.
