Released November 1, 1991- ActRaiser

ActRaiser raised into the Japanese market on this day in 91′. For the Super Famicom!

ActRaiserIn ActRaiser, you play as the God of the land. Protecting the villagers, helping them build their cities and plan new developments and even accept their gifts This is all just one aspect of the game of course.

As the God, you can also smite the people with fire, and thunderstorms. Additionally, these same things can serve to help them all the same! Furthermore, there is a secondary aspect of the game that is an action platformer. You play as the God character wielding a large sword and fend off the demons and enemies. At the end of each level, the people of the land will love you more and more. Sometimes offering you large gifts in return for your favors

The game is known for its phenomenal music and gameplay. It ended up selling over 600,000 copies worldwide. With over 400,000 of those being sold in Japan. In North America, the game sold over 150,000 copies. And in Europe, it saw the poorest sales of all. With just over 40,000. Besides these below average looking sales numbers, the game sold well enough overall to warrant a sequel.

Unfortunately, finding a copy is getting a little harder. One may have to resort to less than reputable ways of obtaining one.
