Gaming Anniversaries December 6- Star Luster

Star Luster

Released December 6, 1985- Star Luster

Star Luster blasted into the Japanese market on this day in 1985. For the Nintendo Famicom!

Star LusterIn Star Luster, players will take control of Dan Heinick. Playing as Dan and ultimately flying his Star Fighter known as Gaia to take out waves of enemies bent on controlling the universe!

The game has a 3-d type point of view. Inside the cockpit of Gaia. Which is interesting and unique, especially for a game made in 85. Players will select their location on a map and warp to it. Additionally, locations can be flown to and will sometimes have heaps of enemies. When this happens, you have to be quick to destroy them all quickly, or else find yourself trying to save a planet or location while another is being destroyed nearby. Once all enemies are defeated, you can safely move on to another location.

Star Luster includes three modes of play, including Training, Command Mode, and Adventure mode. Training mode is self-explanatory of course, while Command mode has you selecting specific locations and adventure mode is sort of a free for all that has huge waves of enemies.
