Gaming Anniversaries April 14: Pokemon Pinball

Pokemon Pinball

Released April 14 1999 (Japan)

First released in Japan on April 14 of 1999

Pokemon PinballPokemon Pinball was the next entry in the Pokemon franchise. Although not a mainline game of course, the game satiated players appetities for a new Pokemon game in between the release of Pokemon Snap for the N64 and Pokemon Gold and Silver for the GameBoy.

The game featured a neat rumble feature powered by a single AAA battery. Something that was never done before on the GameBoy.

Pokemon Pinball is still a standard pinball type game. Just with the cute characters fans love. Plus, the balls are Pokeballs! How fun!
