Brave Fencer Musashi slashed its way to the PlayStation on this day in 98′! For the Japanese market.
Brave Fencer Musashi is an excellent action game with some serious RPG elements. In this game, players play the role of Musashi, obviously a brave fencer. Having been developed by Squaresoft the game uses many design elements from Final Fantasy on the PlayStation. Such as it’s third-person view.
Players will play as Musashi, a reincarnated boy who saved the Allucaneet Kingdom from a monster called the Wizard of Darkness 150 years before. This time, he’s been brought back to stop the evil Thirstquencher Empire. Therefore, he must find the five scrolls to augment the power of his sword and save the Kingdom!
The game was very successful upon release. Selling close to one million units shortly after launch. The game didn’t see another entry until 2005. With the release of Musashi: Samurai Legend.
